What’s on the menu?
Penelope is all about nostalgic bistro eats with a modern twist—small plates that pack a punch and larger dishes made for serious indulgence.
Start with chicken liver parfait on a croissant crisp with a vermouth fig glaze, or maybe the fish finger sandwich (but make it fancy, with crumbed pearl perch and yoghurt tartare on pillowy white bread). Feeling bold? The Cantabrian anchovies arrive literally on fire—served flaming in the tin with crusty batard bread to mop up all the goodness.
For mains, expect Steak Au Poivre, making a dramatic comeback, drenched in cognac and green peppercorn sauce. There’s Red Emperor with parsley butter, caper vinegar, and confit lemon, and a Penne Alla Vodka that’s all creamy, spicy, carb-loaded perfection.
And because we know you’re not ready to call it a night, the late-night menu is built for post-party cravings—inspired by the ultimate room-service feast.
What are we drinking?
Let’s talk cocktails. A 10-strong lineup, plus signature martinis and negronis? Say less. Pair that with a Euro-centric wine list featuring everything from Côte Du Rhône to obscure Aussie Pet Nats, plus a stack of vintage champagnes, and you’ve got yourself a night.

What’s inside?
Hidden behind a solid brass door, Penelope is serving low-key opulence. Think sultry textures, rich hues, antique table lamps, and glowing under-seat lighting, giving the whole place a golden-hour glow all night long.
The vision? A hotel lobby bar—without the hotel. A space where you’re not just a customer, but a guest. Where you can show up as you are, grab a drink, and settle in for a night of seriously good vibes.
Opening 20 March, bring your dancing shoes and meet you at the bar.
