Paddington’s Beloved NOTA Is Opening A Neighbourhood Wine Bar

Fancy a tipple?

Raise a glass, friends, because Paddington’s adored hub for modern European dining and good times is growing up to be bigger and better than ever before!

NOTA is expanding its casually elevated ambience to its neighbouring space, transforming the former boutique into a new neighbourhood wine bar. The bar will act as an extension of the restaurant to officially revamp the haunt as NOTA Restaurant & Wine Bar.

With the adjoining wall kicked out to create a casual thoroughfare between the two spaces, patrons can grab a seat in the exposed brick bar and take their pick from a 5m wall of carefully curated wines, as well as tasty bar snacks or anything on the full NOTA menu.

The food will continue to be prepared by new head chef, Italian native and French trained Matteo Pisanu. Offering a simple yet refined style of cooking with nothing to hide, the seasonal produce are foraged from a weekly market run to complement the dishes such as calzone, focaccia, and his signature cappellaci.

As for the wines, restaurant manager and wine connoisseur, Yanika Sittisuntorn, has grown NOTA’s 12 bottle selection to an impressive 90 (and counting), even bringing a Glass to the venue in the prestigious Australian Wine Awards. On a mission to help tastemakers experiment with different varieties, she’ll prove that there’s a wine out there for everyone at the new bar.

NOTA Restaurant & Wine Bar will open on Saturday 7 May to celebrate NOTA’s third birthday. For tickets, head here
