Gear up, Gold Coast – your new wellness-centric foodie paradise awaits. An upmarket all-day cafe and wellness destination is landing on Mermaid Beach tomorrow, and it’s poised to become the Gold Coast’s most stylish new home of nourishment.

Whether it’s a healthy post-surf refuel or a slow mid-morning catch-up, House of Hälsa is bringing California-cool energy and a wellness-forward philosophy to the GC, creating a space for health-obsessed locals to eat, sip, and linger longer than intended.

From healthy takes on brekkie staples to superfood smoothies, this hotspot is filling a long-missing gap in Gold Coast’s foodie scene – an invitation for guests to fuel up on a nourishing menu full of personality, soak in the design-driven ambience, and channel that effortless, quintessential coastal energy we know and love.

House-Of-Hälsa

Tattooist turned foodie

It’s little surprise the energy feels so considered. Founded by Coco Loberg – the cult-favourite tattoo artist behind The Raspberry Room – and her partner Gareth Fletcher, House of Hälsa is grounded by their shared love of travel, community, and the meaningful moments that unfold around food.

Named after the Swedish phrase meaning house of health, House of Hälsa is a thoughtful ode to nourishment in all its forms – body, mind, and connection.

So, what’s on the menu?

House of Hälsa is offering an intentional menu that balances vibrant flavours with wellness in every bite. Standouts include house-made yogurt bowls, inventive seasonal salads, and creative twists on the classics – blackberry toast with goat cheese and rosemary, anyone?

And because it simply wouldn’t be a QLD wellness hub without a signature smoothie, House of Hälsa has created their very own – and these aren’t your average. Brimming with superfoods and fully customisable, these smoothies are guaranteed to live up to the hype.

The menu honours Logberg’s half-Swedish heritage, personal memories, and global influences. This takes the form of Swedish staples like Parmesan, jam, rye, and eggs, to a watermelon “ceviche” inspired by traditional techniques handed down from Logberg’s Peruvian grandmother in a small coastal town.

Beyond your hearty, sun-soaked brunch, you can also swing by the micro retail section to stock your pantry with a curated selection of wellness brands, including House of Hälsa’s own, ranging from health snacks to supplements and protein powders.

With the Gold Coast home to an abundance of active, health-conscious locals, House of Hälsa is just what the doctor ordered, destined to be a mainstay on the GC’s thriving wellness scene.
