Mondrian Gold Coast Unveils It’s Flagship Restaurant, Opening This June
Haven on earth
By Yana Van Der Byl | 27th May 2025Floating above the pandanus-fringed shores of Burleigh Heads, Haven is the fresh-faced stunner dialling up seaside dining to new heights. Perched on the third floor of the sleek new Mondrian Gold Coast — yes, Australia’s very first — this all-day escape effortlessly blends restaurant, pool club, and golden hour playground into one irresistible ritual, from noon right through to moonlight.
It’s a place built for for cabana lounging, cocktail sipping, and leisurely days that begin with long lunches and crescendo into DJ-spun evenings, the vibe is polished without trying too hard. The soundtrack flows seamlessly as the atmosphere shifts with the sunset against crashing waves and clinking glasses. With ocean views stretching endlessly, a fiery kitchen, and private cabanas whispering your name.
Behind the pass is Executive Chef Aaron Teece (EST., Felix, Manly Pavilion), who’s all about premium produce without the pretence. Expect local seafood elevated by open-flame finesse and flavours that are fresh, bold, and unapologetically uncomplicated. With a raw bar, share plates aplenty, and dishes perfect for the “just one bite” friend, the menu invites communal feasting and casual grazing.
The drinks front is dangerous (in the best way). Think crisp champagnes, coastal-inspired cocktails and a love letter to agave: tequila, mezcal, raicilla and bacanora all make an appearance. Whether you’re poolside in a cabana, posted up at the Sunset Bar or lingering over lunch with wine in hand, Haven delivers that perfect hit of vacation energy – even if you’re just a local with good taste.
Opening June 5, it’s not just a spot — it’s a scene. And you’re going to want in.
