Happily Evra after

If you haven’t picked up a delicious container of goodness from Brisbane’s version of Erewhon (AKA EVRA Market), are you even a true local? And if you have, then you already know how damn good it is. Whether it’s the buzzing crowd, the Instagram hype, or the ridiculously good produce-driven eats, there’s no denying it has cemented itself as a local institution. And now? They’ve raised the bar — again.

Introducing EVRA Restaurant, the rustic-yet-refined sibling to the cult-loved market, and your new go-to for seasonal feasting with serious flair.

Sitting pretty inside Newstead’s Long Island precinct (beside Evra Marketplace) and dripping in understated luxury, EVRA is the brainchild of renowned chef Kelvin Andrews (yes, that Kelvin — from Hellenika and SK Steak & Oyster).  His ethos? Let the ingredients do the talking — and when the ingredients are this good, we’re more than happy to listen.

On the menu

We’re talking home-grown herbs and lettuces plucked fresh from the rooftop garden mere hours before they land on your plate. Think modern Australian meets classical Italian. Crudo os the sea with ricotta, soy sauce, and native finger limes. Bresse chicken pasture-fed in the Wombeyan Caves.  Oh, and Baker D. Chirico’s cult-status bread baked daily — because carbs deserve their spotlight too.

The space

Inside? Total earthy elegance. Picture a warm, open kitchen. A statement stone bar. Mediterranean-luxe touches. It’s slow-living energy with five-star finesse — perfect for long, lazy dinners that turn into something a little more sparkly. One standout? The iconic mud crab lasagne, theatrically sliced table-side. (Yes, it’s dramatic. No, we wouldn’t change a thing.)

Prefer your food with a side of walk-in casual? Swing by EVRA Bar, where cocktails and small plates flow freely in a more relaxed but equally vibey setting.

So, is EVRA a restaurant? A movement? A love letter to Australian produce? Honestly — yes. Brisbane’s dining scene just hit a new high, and EVRA is leading the charge, one incredible dish at a time. Book your table now.
