Mediterranean-Fusion Restaurant Dark Shephard Has Finally Opened At The Star
Destination flavour
From the culinary minds behind new Brisbane destinations Fatcow and Longwang comes another exciting venture in Brisbane’s new hub, Queen’s Wharf.
Mediterranean restaurant Dark Shepherd has just opened its doors to the foodies of Brisbane. A very busy year for hospitality powerhouse and restauranteur Michael Tassis, this will be the third new venue in 2024, promising that same high-quality dining experience Brisbane foodies know and love.
What’s cooking?
Created with Michael Tassis’ Greek heritage in mind, Dark Shepherd brings classic Greek flavours combined with a broader Mediterranean scope. With a menu that heavily heroes lamb, Dark Shepherd’s cuisine will consist of both classic and modern flavours that would impress even the toughest Yiayia. With two Greek restaurants, Opa Bar + Mezze and Yamas Greek + Drink, already under the hospo giant’s belt, this man knows how to nail the cuisine.
Think clever cooking techniques, punchy flavours, and fresh produce that make every bite flavour-packed. Experience classic Tassis tastes, with seafood also playing an integral role in Dark Shepherd’s menu, and many dishes prepared over a wood-fired grill.
Vibe and Dine
Designed by Clui Design, who was also responsible for the Tassis Group’s other beautiful venues, the vibes are to the max at Dark Shepherd. Featuring a sunken main dining room, private dining options, and a live oyster shucking station, you can enjoy a dining experience backdropped against the casual elegance that the Tassis Group have become known for.
Priding themselves on making moments become memories, Dark Shepherd has made every consideration to amplify your dining experience, and set on the backdrop of the new Queen’s Wharf Development, what more could you want from your new fave Mediteranean stop?
Opening this September, stay tuned for more.
