Weekend markets are the ideal way to start your down-time; stock up for the following week on produce, peruse the goods from local stall holders all the while tucking-in to some delicious eats. However, when it comes to finding a market that offers the best of the best, along with community vibes and a welcoming atmosphere, you can’t go past the iconic Kelvin Grove Village Markets. In our books, there’s no other way to kick-off a sunny Saturday than joining those from far and wide to enjoy everything multicultural Brisbane offers, close by the city in KG. Kelvin Grove Village Markets has been an ongoing tradition for over 14 years and hosts a range of stalls perfect for any market-lover or anyone who wants to enjoy a Saturday under the warm Queensland skies.

Kelvin Grove Village Markets is nestled in the heart of Kelvin Grove Village and offers a variety of organic produce, live music, clothing and accessory stalls, and much more. Aside from this diverse range of haunts, this market is also a hub for delicious international foods and exceptional coffee. So, come with an empty stomach as you’re bound to leave stuffed and more than satisfied!

What else could be better than live entertainment and mouth-watering food? Well, one thing is that this market is dog friendly, meaning, all fur babies are welcome to join in on the fun! And for the families out there, these weekly markets are family friendly and children are encouraged to attend as it is located next to Victoria Park.

The most notable aspect of the market though, is the vibrant community and regular stallholders who will open regardless of the weather! The markets play host to the regular shoppers who make it a point to meet for a coffee and a chat each Saturday, a much-loved trait by the Hackworth family who run the markets and have been in the business for over 35 years.

With such an impressive range of food and activities on offer, the Kelvin Grove Village Markets can do no wrong. And with a strict climate change policy, the electricity used by the stallholders have no greenhouse gas emissions, which is amazing for our beautiful environment!

So, why not make a day of it? Rally the kids (fur babies included of course) and head on over to the leafy Kelvin Grove Village Markets this weekend!
