Twinkle, twinkle, little star

By Marley Moore | 7th December 2021

Jump in your sleigh and pull out Google Maps because we’ve found the Christmas lights you need to check out in Brisbane this year. Hard work pays off and you’ve really shined, so twinkle it away at these vibrant showcases around town.

The Lott By Golden Casket City Hall Lights, King George Square

For a merry time, head to King George Square from 10 December to Christmas Eve. There will be a twinkling projection of the classic tale ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ on the iconic building every 15 minutes from 7.30pm until midnight, in a magical kaleidoscope of colours and music. Find out more here.

27 Minimine Street, Stafford

Don’t spend your Christmas Eve searching the sky for Santa’s reindeers, because Rudolph is chilling in Stafford and he is larger than life! Just make sure to wear your finest Christmas kit because one lucky person will be chosen every night until 26 December to hit the button and turn on the award-winning display.

Enchanted Garden

Brisbane’s largest interactive lighting display is coming back to Roma Street Parklands these holidays until 23 December. The Enchanted Garden will feature 11 immersive elements including holograms, LED fields, and 3D printed sculptures. And to fulfil those Christmas cravings, Roma Street Parkland will also be hosting nine food trucks! Grab your tickets here.

101 Kempsie Road, Upper Mount Gravatt

Head to Kempsie Road before 1 January for a colourful display of Christmas love featuring inflatables, lasers, and, of course, the nativity scene. The big man in red will be there himself handing out treats to sweeten up your night in his workshop, so you better be on your best behaviour.

20 Curragundi Road, Jindalee

This award-winning light display is the perfect drive-by option if you prefer staying comfy in your Christmas PJs. Up until Christmas Eve, 20 Curragundi Road will welcome the public to celebrate their 20th anniversary of festive fun in their incredible showcase of lights.

If Santa can travel the globe in one night, you can head a little further for these impressive displays…

12 Bedarra Crescent, Burpengary East

Say hi to your favourite festive faces at this lit up abode! Until 31 December, you’ll find a two-storey walk-in display at Bedarra Crescent featuring a photobooth (for those holiday sELFies), laser shows, and inflatables.

122 Sparkes Road, Bray Park

It’s all in the name here! The iconic Sparkes Road is known for their close-knit, Christmas-loving community. Spark up your season with this street’s dreamy display of bubbles, snow, and vibrant lights.

1 Paul Tully Avenue, Collingwood Park

Have you met the giant teddy bear named Bruce who cosily lives in Paul Tully Avenue? No? Well, come visit him at the scenic display of the season! You have until 1 January to get your photo with Bruce, so get your merry smiles on and sleigh down to Collingwood Park.

And while we’re getting in the spirit, cosy up in our favourite Christmas pyjamas here.
