We’ve Found The Paint ‘N’ Sip Spots To Get You Through The Working Week

Let your creativity (and the wine) flow!

By Guest Styler | 5th March 2019

Chances are you’ve heard of the newfound obsession that pairs together two of the world’s greatest gifts – wine and art, known as ‘paint ‘n’ sip’. Whether it’s a girls evening, a family event, a group fundraiser or date night, a paint ‘n’ sip event is the perfect event for all – so we’ve found the best places around Brisbane for you to do exactly that.

Montana Art Project | West End

Show up for a free flute of sparkling on arrival, then sip the night away on your BYO wine or beer while you let your creativity take over. The studio is nestled above The Montague Hotel, which means you can order finger food from the restaurant to keep you from getting peckish while you paint!

Brisbane Painting Classes | Albion

Relax with Watercolour is the Friday night event you didn’t know you needed, hosted monthly in Brisbane Painting Classes’ Albion studio. You provide the wine and they provide the watercolour (and all the other painting essentials) for an evening of experimenting in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere!

Brush & Barrel | Fortitude Valley

Whether you’re a seasoned scribbler or an aspiring artist, Brush & Barrel have the seat for you. At only $55, the Fortitude Valley location will supply the paint, canvas, easel, brushes, glassware and, of course, an instructor taking you through your step-by-step masterpiece – you just need to bring your bottle!

Wesley Taylor Art Studios | Southbank

The studios are currently offering a ‘2 for 1’ deal on their website, so book in now to snatch a spot for you and your bestie all for the price of one. The two-hour sessions have all art materials supplied, and you’re welcome to bring not only your alcohol beverages, but any snacks you want as well!

MK Gallery | Everton Park

The MK Gallery are taking the evening up a notch, with a ticket to their paint ‘n’ sip events hosted at Toasted Café including delicious canapes served to your table all night long! The snacks will set you back a bit more than the average paint class at $75 a seat, but the experience of painting with your pals is worth every penny.

Cork & Chroma | South Brisbane

Drink and Paint, say Cork & Chroma, just don’t drink the paint. Instead, BYO your favourite wine or beer, and head into their studio that will help you with the basic techniques of painting with acrylics on canvas. The nightly sessions are $55 a seat, which includes all the essentials for your masterpiece.

Paint ‘n’ Pour | Various Locations

Paint ‘n’ Pour quickly became so popular that they outgrew their Redcliffe studio, and opened up workshops at MD’s Italian in Fortitude Valley as well The Belvedere Hotel in Woody Point. Since both locations are licensed venues you’re not able to BYO a bottle, however you can purchase food and drinks the whole evening through!
