It’s no secret that Sephora opening in Queensland was pretty damn significant. While we loved visiting Sephora in Sydney and Melbourne, it was a serious relief when we realised we could shop all our favourite labels in the comfort of our own hometown. Of course, it was no surprise that we then went a little wild and blew our entire rent on a new contour palette… But that’s neither here nor there.
Today the makeup giant announced that we are getting another makeup destination, this time at the Gold Coast hub Robina Town Centre. With all our favourite brands (such as Kat Von D, IT Cosmetics, Bite, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Nudestix) available at yet another destination, there’s no doubt we might get a little swipe happy with our credit cards. Excuse us while we go and save up every penny we’ve ever owned.
But, offering more than just a killer range of beauty brands available, they will also boast Australia’s first ever Virtual Artist! The Virtual Artist technology allows customers to virtually try-on products and compare the latest shades of lip and eye must-haves. “Our teams of talented Beauty Advisors are on-hand to provide foundation matching and a wide variety of makeup services, but the beauty of Virtual Artist is that you can try on hundreds of colours all on your own, and from the traction we have via our app, we know our customers would absolutely love it,” said Sephora Country Manager Libby Amelia.
If the opening is anything like Brisbane or Melbourne, expect to see people camped out before the opening, and long, loooooong lines come opening day. But Sephora know how to throw a party so customers can also expect them to put on a pretty big show when the doors finally do open. There will probably even be GLITTER CANNONS, people!
Opening in May after the Commonwealth Games, it’s clear that 2018 is shaping up to be a big year for our beloved Gold Coast. In the meantime, you’ll find us sipping on a cocktail or two while we wait for the latest GC addition to open their doors.
