ICYMI: rhode Beauty Arrives Down Under at MECCA

glazed donut glow

By Kiri Johnston | 14th February 2026

In case you’ve been living under a rock (or just blissfully offline), rhode officially landed in Australia and New Zealand on February 12, and it’s the major beauty moment your makeup bag has been waiting for.

Founded by Hailey Bieber, who serves as Founder, Chief Creative Officer and Head of Innovation, rhode has quietly become one of the most talked-about beauty brands globally. While it’s undeniably celebrity-led, the appeal lies in how accessible it feels, the idea that you’re buying into Hailey’s own pared-back routine, her approach to skin, and that effortless, glazed-but-natural look she’s become known for. Minimal steps, great skin, no drama, very much our energy.

That same sensorial appeal runs through the brand’s marketing, too. Campaigns and product imagery are styled with fruits and delicious treats, making everything feel fresh, playful and almost edible. Skincare that looks as good as it works.

To announce the official launch, and of course in true rhode style, the brand went all out. The Neilson at Shark Beach was transformed into a rhode bakery for a private launch event, complete with soft styling, harbour views and that unmistakable clean, glossy rhode aesthetic. Hailey Bieber appeared looking angelic in a beautiful white silk dress, bringing a calming presence and effortless soft-girl energy that felt perfectly aligned with the brand. The bakery concept then extended to the public with a rhode pop-up takeover at AP Bakery, giving beauty lovers the chance to experience the brand IRL, pastries, coffee and skincare rolled into one very chic moment.

The new drops everyone’s adding to cart

The local launch spotlights two new rhode releases that perfectly sum up why the brand works so well.

The caffeine reset is a sculpting cream face mask designed to wake up tired, puffy, flat-looking skin fast. Think of it as an espresso shot for your face. Powered by caffeine, peptides and firming poppy extract, it visibly refreshes and lifts skin in just 10 to 15 minutes. It’s the kind of product you reach for before work, after a flight, pre-event, or anytime your skin needs a reset before you do.

Then there’s peptide lip boost, which feels destined to become one of those non-negotiable handbag essentials. This plush, balmy lip mask delivers instant fullness with a soft, tingly, never intense, sensation, while improving lip texture over time. It goes on clear with a subtle rosy hue, leaves lips glossy and cushiony-soft, and actually works long-term thanks to peptides and a hyaluronic complex.

Choose sugarmint for a fresh hit or unscented if fragrance isn’t your thing. Wear it overnight, under lipstick, or on its own when you want that hydrated, my lips but better look.

Why rhode landing here matters

rhode isn’t trying to overwhelm you with 12-step routines or intimidating skincare jargon. It’s designed for real life, early mornings, late nights, flights, meetings, dinners and everything in between. The formulas are thoughtful, the routines are streamlined, and the results are visible.

For beauty lovers in Australia and New Zealand who value good skin, great design and simplicity, this launch feels genuinely exciting. It’s minimal without being boring, chic without being try-hard, and refreshingly easy to use.

In other words, skincare that works hard without asking too much of you.
