We Tested Out This Delightful Brisbane Day Spa And Here's How It Went

Pure bliss awaits here.

Styler, Fiona Williams put herself in the very capable hands of the experienced team at the delightful One Wybelenna day spa and this is how it went down!

It’s a name known throughout Brisbane as one of the best urban retreats offering out of this world relaxation and exclusive blissful surrounds all less than 30 minutes from the city – and it’s no wonder this day spa has such a great reputation. As soon as I enter the striking former residential architecturally designed building I’m greeted with bright open light, endless space and a sunken lounge to melt into with a tea in hand before my consultation. Forget finding the staff or lifting a finger, they’re one step ahead of you the whole way, guiding you through your appointment.

The Outdoor Magnesium Spa & Pool

Melting away the stress of my day, I slip into the exclusive magnesium spa (heated at 38°C) and pool. This area is booked entirely for my own private use with no one else to distract me from sitting back, sipping on sparkling wine and soothing my tight muscles. Between the sound of the flowing infinity pool, birds and bubbling spa, it’s like something out of pure paradise. After half an hour, my therapist Chrissy greets me at the pool to lead me to the next stage.

Pure Radiance Facial

Whisked away to the treatment room a few steps from the pool, Chrissy sat me down and softly explained the treatment along with any personal skin concerns and goals. Taken on a journey of total skin rejuvenation for one hour, we start with a warm compress and gentle exfoliation. With a focus on eye treatments, Chrissy cleansed, exfoliated and nourished around my eyes – something I’ve not experienced in such detail nor thought about for my own regime. Yet, our eyes take such a large toll from our stress, hydration and concentration. After a nurturing facemask rich in natural herbal extracts, Chrissy uses a range of Sodashi Plant Essence Synergies to leave my skin feeling fresh and reviltalised.

Scalp & Hair Treatment

To top off the experience (and my tresses), I was treated to a 30-minute moisture-rich scalp and hair mask with rosewood and jojoba oil. Designed to deeply penetrate with a steamy aromatic head wrap, the leave in treatment is intended to stay on for as long as possible. Finishing with a deeply relaxing neck and shoulder massage and gentle tap of the harmonious Tibetan singing bowl, One Wybelenna was a truly deep and nourishing journey restoring harmony to both my mind and body.

All in all, it was the ultimate treat and one that I look forward to experiencing again.
