Autumn/Winter Hair Trends, According To EdwardsAndCo’s Jaye Edwards
Fresh hair forecast
By Victoria Lewis | 5th March 2026After three humid months of fun in the summer sun, where our tousled beach waves hung loose, and the sun gave us all some natural highlights, the Autumn/Winter season is here to embrace the warmer, cosier, and softer side of life.
The change of the season not only marks shorter days and cooler nights, but also calls for a seasonal hair refresh. Mirroring fashion, hair trends are set to be driven by 90s influence, added volume, and easy-to-manage styles that invite warmth.
But to get the full forecast, we have asked the man, the myth, the hair legend Jaye Edwards from EdwardsAndCo to give us his two cents. To get the full forecast, we asked Edwards to share the Autumn/Winter hair trends set to dominate salons and social feeds alike.
The brief
As the cooler months approach, hair colour is leaning towards rich, warm tones that feel natural yet refined.
“We’re moving into a really beautiful phase of natural, lived-in colour,” Jaye says. “Think sunset blondes, burnt copper tones, lavish brunettes and deep shades that look expensive.”
Rather than high-contrast blonding or heavy balayage, Edwards notes that clients are increasingly gravitating towards softer blends and seamless colour transitions.
“The goal is ‘your hair, but elevated’,” he explains. “Radiant, subtly dimensional colour that works with the cut. When the colour complements the shape, that’s when it really shines.”
COLOURS
Sunset Blonde
Inspired by the tones of golden hour, sunset blonde introduces subtle warmth into traditional blonde shades.
By layering honey, apricot and golden tones, the colour adds natural dimension while maintaining brightness through the cooler months.
Jaye’s tip:“To keep your sunset blonde looking fresh, I recommend using CØR.restore Colour Lock Milk, and CØR.Restore Leave-In Treatment, a transformative new system that brings salon-level restoration into your everyday haircare routine.”
Lavish Brunette
Glossy, dimensional brunettes are having a major moment.
This colour is all about nailing and layering the tone. Jaye tells us, “The lavish brunette hair trend is all about ultra glossy, multi-dimensional brown tones. Think espresso, melted chocolate, and warm toffee ribbons layered with subtle highlights to create depth, shine and an expensive-looking, light-catching finish.”
Jaye’s tip:“My favourite product for styling brunette hair is the O&M Dry Queen Brunette Dry Shampoo. This adds life to your blowout with volume and a brunette tint.”
Burnt Copper
Edwards describes burnt copper as “the ultimate autumn hair colour”. Burnt copper is leading the charge. If you’re ready for a transformation, this season calls for a walk on the fiery side.
“Inspired by Emma Stone, the burnt copper hair trend blends rich auburn and smouldering red tones for a glossy, dimensional finish that feels both bold and effortlessly chic,” Jaye adds. Count me in!
Jaye’s tip: “Copper is notoriously known as the most high-maintenance colour, so I recommend incorporating the O&M CLEAN.tone Copper Colour Treatment into your at-home routine to keep your colour fresh.”
CUTS
Graduated Bob
Sharp, structured bobs continue to dominate.
“The graduated bob is the perfect in-between cut if you’re growing out a pixie or micro bob,” says Edwards. “It’s polished, classic and incredibly versatile.” For those toying with the idea, Jaye describes the graduated bob as “the perfect in between if you’re growing out your pixie cut, or micro bob.” It’s elevated and classic in just the right way, and we are here for it.
Jaye’s Tip: “This look is all about growing out your hair to that graduate length, so scalp care is essential. The AMPERNA Cleanse & Rebalance Dermal Care Shampoo and Strengthen & Protect Dermal Care Conditioner is the perfect duo to get started on your hair growth journey, because creating a healthy scalp is the foundation of healthy hair growth.”
Carolyn Bessette Kennedy inspired Vanilla Gloss
Minimalist blonde is back.
For those of you who, like us, are currently obsessing over Love Story, this is the hair trend to claim as your own.
To emulate our favourite ’90s style icon, Carolyn Bassette Kennedy, go for a true vanilla blonde and opt for a blow-dry that offsets the undone with an effortlessly sleek finish.
Jaye’s tip: For a silky smooth CBK-style blow-dry, go for Project Smooth by O&M. “The PS Balm will [also] give you that perfect base to achieve Carolyn’s effortlessly undone look.”
Sculptured Curls
Natural texture continues to gain momentum.
Jaye tells us he’s seen a real shift towards “clients wanting to enhance their natural curls, so this sculptured curl trend has been taking off lately.” A perfect example of how low-maintenance, voluminous styles are all the rage this Autumn, the sculpted curls trend is all about embracing natural texture, allowing body and volume through styling.
Jaye’s tip: “My favourite curl styling products include the Curl Curl Cream and Curl Curl Gel by O&M.”
