GC Creator Ash Grats Takes Us Through Her Top Picks At Adore Beauty Chermside

CART CONFESSIONS

By Cali Westmoreland | 18th December 2025

Adore Beauty has long been one of those classic cult Australian brands – the kind you grow up ordering from late at night, lured in by elite curation, next-level service and a tasteful touch of Tim Tams. But in 2025, the online beauty brand stepped decisively into a new era. Physical stores. Real-life rituals. Beauty, experience IRL.

Following the buzz of its first Queensland storefront, Adore Beauty has now officially crossed into new territory – opening its doors at Westfield Chermside and cementing its place in Brisbane’s northside. It’s a move that feels both strategic and inevitable. Inside, the space feels sleek yet inviting, stocked with skincare heroes, cult haircare, fragrances you actually want to wear, and makeup that lives rent-free on your TikTok feed. There’s also a clear nod to beauty’s global influence, with a strong K-beauty presence that signals Adore’s finger-on-the-pulse sensibility. Add expert-led skin services and tech-forward shopping touchpoints, and the store becomes less about transaction, more about experience.

Shopping with @ashgrats

To get the inside scoop, we slipped behind the lens of influencer and ‘it’ girl Ash Grats (@ashgrats), capturing the store through her eyes, her camera roll and, most importantly, her taste. Known for her effortless aesthetic and beauty choices that always feel one step ahead, Ash’s in-store snaps are a mini masterclass in modern beauty curation: elevated staples, glow-enhancing formulas and products that earn their place on your vanity.

As Ash moves through the store, pulling products that feel true to her signature look – clean, luminous, low-effort but never basic – it becomes clear that this is exactly how Adore Beauty is meant to be experienced. Not overwhelming. Not trend-chasing. Just really, really good beauty.

Follow along to see the products Ash gravitated towards in-store – the ones that made the cut, caught her eye, and earned a spot in her edit.

Sunscreen

“The Quick Flick are really looking out for us with this product. It’s a moisturiser and SPF 50+ sunscreen in a lightweight mousse that absorbs beautifully and leaves the skin soft and glowy. I love that it genuinely hydrates while also making body SPF a permanent fixture in our daily routines, and it’s safe to use on your face too! Of course, it’s SPF 50+ and is water and sweat-resistant for up to two hours.”

K-Beauty

“These are a K-Beauty favourite for a reason. I love that you can use them as a quick swipe or leave them on as a mask when your skin needs extra care. They’re enriched with collagen, ceramides, and peptides to help plump, hydrate, and protect the skin.”

Skincare

“A beautiful product for any skin type, but a game-changer for calming and hydrating stressed skin. It’s a lightweight milk that absorbs quickly without feeling greasy and leaves skin feeling soft, soothed, and balanced. It’s perfect for anyone dealing with breakouts or sensitivity and it’s become a non-negotiable in my daily routine.”

Haircare

“Trust me, your hair has never felt as clean as it will after using this scalp scrub. Essential for hair health, this scrubs away product build up from the scalp and detoxes excess oil to help your hair feel lighter & fresher for longer. Despite the larger granules, it’s actually gentle enough for sensitive scalps. A perfect weekly addition to any hair-wash routine, and the smell is incredible too.”

Fragrance

“This unisex fragrance combines floral and woody notes for a perfectly balanced, fresh scent. It’s ideal for those who lean towards more savoury scents but are searching for something lighter for the warmer months.”

One to Try

TYPE BEA’s formula prioritises hair & scalp health, and the feedback so far has been glowing! The general consensus is that the products feel luxurious and leave your hair feeling nourished without weighing it down. As someone who is on a continuous hair health journey, this one’s next on my list to try.”
