For Mile-Long Lashes

Cult Beauty Products

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, $33; Kevyn Aucoin The Volume Mascara, $40

With over 800 glowing reviews on Mecca, the Kevyn Aucoin The Volume Mascara is getting some serious love from beauty gurus. The mascara is different to the Better Than Sex one, as it is a tubing mascara that forms little tubes which envelops the lashes. The result is super volumised, mile-long lashes that don’t smudge and wash off with gentle pressure and warm water at the end of the day. It might sound too good to believe (we felt the same way), but the formula is so cleverly designed so as to minimise any eye irritation, while still creating gorgeous, luscious lashes for full-day wear. One happy user even commented, “I have tried all the ‘best’ mascaras out there, all the cult favourites, and they have always been a one time buy. This mascara separates all of my lashes perfectly, and gives me amazing volume and length! It does not clump, does not shed, and so easy to use! I love that it comes off with water, my under eyes are thanking me every day! Love, love, love!” We’re convinced.

For Bronzed Glow

It’s no secret that we’ve been a little obsessed with the Nars Liquid Laguna Bronzer for a minute now. Featherlight, universally flattering, and enriched with skin-nourishing ingredients, the Laguna Bronzer has been a staple in our makeup bags through all seasons. Now, the Bareminerals Sheer Sun Serum has definitely earned a space in our makeup routine. A sheer liquid bronzer with a sun-kissed glow and rich tone, this all-in-one product packs a punch. As well as a gorgeous glow that suits a wide range of skin tones, it is also formulated with a blend of antioxidants (lilac plant stem cells – hello, science!) for a burst of hydration.

For Glowing Complexion

Models and beauty editors across the world have long raved about cult favourites, Nars Sheer Glow and Armani Luminous Silk foundations. Hydrating, radiant, silky, and lightweight, they provide the perfect amount of buildable coverage without caking on the skin. Their luminous and glowy finishes are flattering on all skin types, and their high-quality formulas make them a favourite for everyday wear. However, if you’re looking for a different product, you can’t go past Clinique’s Even Better Glow foundation. It’s the go-to foundation for this writer, and I’ve already finished three bottles! The formula is a rework of their incredibly popular Even Better Makeup foundation, adding a little extra glow and luminosity to the finish. Infused with light-reflecting pigments that instantly boost radiance, it blends seamlessly into the skin for a barely-there, clear complexion.

Bumble And Bumble All Style Blow Dry, $46; Ouai Memory Mist, $37

When it comes to hairstyling, Bumble And Bumble are absolute pros. Their wide range of styling products cater to all hair types and concerns and are famed for their nourishing, tech-infused ingredients that help keep hair as healthy as possible – even when using heat products or colouring. While their All Style Blow Dry is a bit of a personal fave for heat styling hair, protecting against damage, and keeping locks healthy and oil-free. It’s a bit of a wonder product. Similarly, Ouai’s new Memory Mist spray is changing in the world of hairstyling. A multi-tasking spray, the Memory Mist protects against heat damage, primes and preps the hair for styling, holds curls and blowouts without the crunch, and elicits an enviable long-lasting shine. It’s revolutionary at locking in style (right up until next shampoo!) and uniquely memorises your hair’s style and texture. It might sound too good to be true, but it’s the truth. We’re obsessed!

Let’s start this by saying that we will always love Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream. Super hydrating and silky smooth, this dream cream absorbs into the skin beautifully, while continually replenishing moisture throughout the day (we still don’t really understand how it does this – magic?) for healthy, glowing skin. It provides a visibly well-balanced finish, even in harsh weather or on extremely dry skin. All a big yes from us. If you loved this product, then you need to get your paws on Dr. Dennis Gross’ Hyaluronic Moisture Cushion. It is seriously unbelievable. This oil-free moisturiser locks in hydration all day long, sealing in moisture for a dewy and supple finish that lasts all day long. It’s super-sciencey formula also works to firm and smooth skin’s appearance for radiant, younger-looking skin. It was a winner in the MECCA Beauty Election 2017 for Best Moisturiser. So, what are you waiting for?

Glam Glow Supermud Clearing Treatment, $98; L’Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Clay Pre-Shampoo Mask, $9.95

I don’t think there’s been a single beauty-lover who hasn’t raved about the magic that is Glam Glow’s Supermud Clearing Treatment. Heck, I’ve even raved about it this year! A revolutionary clay-based face mask, this little guy is a cult favourite for it’s cleansing and rejuvenating abilities. For Skin-Saving Masks

Okay, I will be the FIRST TO SAY the sheet masks are revolutionary, life-changing, and the greatest thing to ever happen to me. Anyone else agree? Light enough for everyday use yet still packing a powerful hit of hydration and healing properties, sheet masks are vital in your skincare routine and have been the talk of the town all year long. If you want to level up your skincare routine, Neutrogena’s Light Therapy mask is the newest home-technology that you need to add to your beauty arsenal. Using a combination of blue and red LED light, the mask targets two of the major skin factors that contribute to acne: acne-causing bacteria and inflammation. This surprising and innovative piece of technology is easy to add to your skincare regimen, adding only 10-minutes of downtime each day.
