Being a girl is hard enough without giving your left arm and right leg to afford the best beauty products. Guys can just go straight to the shops and purchase what they need without weighing up the pros and cons of five million other similar products.
Luckily for us, the market is filled with products you can steal (or, y’know, borrow) from your boyfriend. No boyfriend? No worries! Just hop, skip and jump to your local shopping centre and put these in your basket. Ka-ching!
Shaving Balm
It started with the YouTube channel NikkieTutorials. Now, beauty bloggers everywhere are going bananas for the Nivea Men Post Shave Balm! While it IS a post-shave balm, it’s being used as a primer and everyone is diggin’ it. At only $11.49, I’ll be substituting my expensive primers for this from now on! Plus, you can always use it for its original purpose and get the most of this balm of glory.
Razors
How GOOD are men’s razors?! I’ve totally bought a pack of Gillette disposables and I can say that the result is IMPRESSIVE. Who wants to fork out $20 for a fancy pink razor that goes dull after three uses? Not me. But if you’re looking for something to do a bit of detail work, you should definitely get a micro hair remover. Perfect for the bikini line, any peach fuzz or even getting rid of any signs of a monobrow. Lather up, ladies!
Deodorant & Cologne
If you love the smell of men’s cologne or deodorant, then maybe you’d like it even more if you could wear it yourself! There’s nothing wrong with a couple of spritzes of some Tom Ford cologne or Old Spice. If you’re prone to sweating, a men’s deodorant could actually do you wonders because they’re built for that sorta thing, ya feel?
Hair product
We'd all love a texturised ’do to rival a Victoria’s Secret Angel but sometimes it takes a bucketload of products to get even close to looking that fabulous. With a bit of men’s hair product, your tresses could be ready to hit the runway (or just Friday night drinks) and stay that way for hours on end! I also recommend spending a few dollars on a shaping dough to get your hair looking fresh.
Face Wash
There seems to be a common trend within a lot of men’s face wash - charcoal! Charcoal is super good for drawing out any gunk, dirt and excess oil that’s clogging your pores. While you probably shouldn’t use this every day if you have sensitive skin, it could be your new bestie come Sunday pamper nights! Plus, you’ll find this type of product is even cheaper in the men’s aisle!
