The Coffee Scrubs You Have to Try

The Coffee Scrubs You Have to Try

The best coffee we’ve never put in our mouths.

By Claire Deane | 9th March 2016

It’s no secret that we’re coffee connoisseurs around here. We’ve ranked the best spots in Brisbane to get it, we’ll take it icedin ice-cream or in an IV. No, seriously. If someone could make that happen, that would be great.

Unsurprisingly, it didn’t take much to convince us to smear our bodies with the stuff. You’ve probably heard of the powerhouse coffee scrub from Frank Body but that’s not the only name in the coffee scrub game. We love to support small local business – especially when they use all-natural ingredients – so here are just a few of our favourite beauty products featuring our favourite ingredient:

1. Atom Boutique

Atom Boutique’s products are seriously dishy. They are 100 per cent vegan, and sustainably harvested through fair trade, sourced from Morocco and packaged in Sydney. This coffee scrub is divine – it smells like the real deal, isn’t too scratchy and our skin felt like a dream after just one scrub. We also heart the ghassoul clay mask – nasty clogged skin, be gone!

2. Today Is Yours

Local Brisbane brand Today is Ours offers the world’s only Fairtrade-certified coffee body scrub! The smell is to die for, and with a name like vanilla almond latte, you’ll be hard-pressed not to lick this one straight off your limbs.

3. Mr Bean Body Care

This brand has a coffee scrub just for your man, ready to “target all of your tough bits, your rough bits and even stretch marks from your ever-growing guns”. We know he’s going to steal yours and snap a (super manly) selfie anyway, so why not just buy him a packet for his very own?

4. Noosa Basics Coffee Scrub

The only thing we like better than coffee is coconut oil. It pretty much takes the place of any beauty product we have, and when you add it to a coffee scrub, your skin is exfoliated AND hydrated – win-win! Not only does this product smell like summer, it’s also free of anything hideous like petroleum, parabens, synthetic fragrances, chemicals, dyes, pesticides and GMOs.

5. Katie’s Essentials

When you want something handmade, but don’t feel like grinding up alllll those coffee beans yourself, Katie’s Essentials is your go-to brand. Cruelty-free and pretty packaging? This ticks all the boxes!
