That healthy eating resolution was never going to stick anyway.
Things we love:
1. An orderly queue.
2. When we finally reach the freebie on our coffee card.
3. Successfully hiding from an old acquaintance in the supermarket that we don’t want to speak to.
4. When our inbox reaches a very satisfying 0.
5. Cheap eats.
We’re not complicated, fussy or hard-to-please people. When it comes to our happiness, there are not many things that boost our serotonin levels more than delicious eats that don’t break the bank. So, when we discovered that The Coop Bistro would be launching $3 taco nights we naturally FREAKED out (I’m not even kidding. My colleague literally sent me a message saying, “Where is the $3 taco place??!!”).
In a cheeky move that will prove hazardous to our healthy-eating New Year’s resolutions, The Coop Bistro (previously The Flying Cock) is launching $3 Taco Thursdays starting Thursday, January 18.
Thumbing their nose at Trump’s impending border, the weekly trip to Mexico includes a mouth-watering selection of some pretty legit tacos. The menu, BUENO BUENO, includes seven different pickings served on either soft flour or corn tortillas. Say “¡Hola!” to the Gallo Fantástico (a cheeky take on their signature fried chicken burger with karaage, diced pickled onions, blue cheese & chipotle BBQ sauce), the Demonio Blanco (24 hour pulled cola pork with beans, pickled red cabbage and chipotle mayo), the Generalisimo (BBQ pulled beef taco with caramelised onion, pickles and parmesan cheese) and more.
And, in true Mexicana style, The Coop team will also be serving up all your fave Mexican drinks to wash down your tacos, including Dos Equis stubbies, Tommy’s Margaritas, Tequila shots, and enough Sangria to have you dancing on the tables (catch me performing every Thursday from 11pm).
Now please, stop reading this and text every one of your friends and tell them that you’ve found where to get $3 tacos and that the first round is on you.
Where: The Coop Bistro
388 Brunswick St, Fortitude Valley QLD 4006.
