Sofitel Brisbane | CBD
With spectacular views over the city, indulge in one of the Sofitel Brisbane Central’s signature High Teas. Delight both sight and palate with a decadent combination of classic favourites such as scones and ribbon sandwiches while savouring exquisite French desserts created by pastry chef, Joel Helot in the hotel’s own patisserie. High Tea is available from 11:00am until 3:00pm daily in Club Sofitel Lounge on the 30th floor and from 11:00am until 4:00pm daily in Cuvée Lounge Bar starting at $48 per person.
Customs House | CBD
With art deco tea stands and elegant handcrafted petite desserts, Customs House Champagne High Tea parties are the indulgent kind of catch up that we could definitely get used to. The High Tea parties are set up either on the restaurant’s terrace overlooking the Story Bridge and Brisbane river or inside the historic and elegant internal dining room of Customs House. Starting at $74 per person, each guest will be offered a stunning selection of premium savoury delights, including smoked salmon blinis, chicken and dill ribbon sandwiches, vegetable and goats cheese roulade, Queensland sand crab and cucumber cups, and smoky baba ganoush and pine nut tart. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, raspberry scones with jam, cream and fresh raspberries, petite desserts and macarons, and confit strawberry and mascarpone with biscotti are definitely set to satisfy your every craving. For your drink, guests can choose from a selection that includes chilled fresh orange juice, espresso coffee, French handcrafted teas from La Maison du Thé, as well as a glass of Louis Roederer Brut Premier. Customs House offers their 1.5-hour Champagne High Tea every day between 10am and 2pm for groups of at least two people and bookings are essential.
Oakwood Hotel & Apartments Brisbane | Fortitude Valley
With the soft jazz sound of the Leena Salim band playing live in the background, Mother’s Day high tea at Oakwood Brisbane couldn’t get any sweeter. Starting at $45 per person, this Mother’s Day Oakwood Brisbane have done all the hard work for you so you can impress mum with a delicious selection of high tea delights – they have even organised something special for the kids, with their very own ‘chill out room’ and lolly buffet! Taking place on Sunday 13 May from 2pm, this year’s Mother’s Day 3-hour high tea includes a scrumptious selection of all of your sweet and savoury petit four favourites, a glass of sparkling bubbles and endless tea and coffee in the impressive No.15 Restaurant & Bar. If you’re looking to spoil her with something a little extra, No.15 Restaurant & Bar will also offer a cash bar for you to purchase additional beverage choices.
Treasury Brisbane | CBD
Sweet dreams are made of teas, and Treasury Hotel’s The Lab Restaurant And Bar brew some of Brisbane’s best. Taking place in the ambient and picturesque Treasury Hotel, The Lab’s high teas are an elegant celebration of the classic high tea experience. Executive Chef Steven Jones perfected his high tea service during his years working at five-star establishments in London and now brings the intimate and personal experience to the diners of Brisbane. Bookings are available between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm every Saturday and Sunday and include bottomless La Maison Du Thé French handcrafted teas as well as a full selection of savoury and sweet delights. The Standard High Tea is $45 per guest and allows you to pick from a decadent selection of sumptuous finger sandwiches, mouthwatering macaroons, pleasing petit fours, charming cookies and more. If you prefer something a little more indulgent, the Chandon High Tea package ($59) includes a premium two-hour Chandon package with a stunning selection of Chandon sparkling wines to choose from. Whether she prefers the fresh taste of Domaine Chandon Brut Rosé or the vibrant finish of Sparkling Chandon Brut, this package will ensure your special lady enjoys the Mother’s Day she deserves.
Bacchus | South Bank
Perched on the Podium level of Rydges South Bank is the multi-award winning restaurant, Bacchus. Known as Queensland’s home of Dom Perignon, you can bet that their high tea experience is a fitting match for one of the world’s finest champagnes. Bacchus offers four different High Tea options that range from $38 per person up to $89 per person. The Quintessential High Tea is one of Brisbane’s stand-outs with freshly baked treats and gourmet teas with fine bone china to match.
Dandelion & Driftwood | Hendra
If you’re a fan of anything that involves pretty things and dainty food served on tiered stands, then Dandelion & Driftwood’s daily high teas cannot be overlooked. D&D offer two high menu options, one sweet and one savoury and sweet, each served with your choice of a pot of tea or a big coffee. The sweet high tea menu includes all your high tea favourites like scones, tarts, cake and macrons for $25 per person. The savoury and sweet high tea menu includes savoury additions to the tiered stand, including four ribbon sandwiches for $35 per person.
French & Mor | Albany Creek
Hidden in the backstreets of Albany Creek you’ll find a little slice of France at French & Mor café. Experience Australia’s first Modern French High Tea for $38 per person on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:30am and 2:30pm. With a large selection of tea sandwiches, pastries, gateaux & mor on the menu, you can trust you’ll get a true taste of the delicious French delights that comes complete with a teapot of perfectly brewed T2 tea, coffee or juice.
Stamford Plaza Hotel | CBD
The spirit of Queensland Lobby High Tea at the Stamford Plaza Hotel in Brisbane is a popular take on a traditional high tea that is inspired by the tastes of Queensland and Australia. The high tea is prepared by the hotel’s pastry chefs and was in fact presented to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II during her most recent visit to Brisbane. If it’s good enough for the queen, it’s a must-try in our eyes. On Fridays from 3:00pm and on Saturdays and Saturdays from 3:30pm, for $49 per person, you will be treated to a 2-hour Australiana-inspired high tea. Expect to find sweet and savoury items like a posh retake on the original lamington, sugarcane shortbread, scones served with cheese and vegemite and petite Daintree barramundi, leek and dill quiche.
The Racing Café | Hendra
This local gem is nestled in the heart of Hendra and is the perfect spot for a group catch up over some delicious homemade treats. For $25 per person, The Racing Café provide groups of ten or more with 4 savoury items, 5 sweet items and a cup of either tea or coffee. The High Tea offering includes everything from salmon pikelets, cheese muffins, tartlets and finger sandwiches to profiteroles, cupcakes, lemon meringue tarts and melting moments. Every High Tea at The Racing Café also comes served on a traditional high tea stand.
Darling & Co | Paddington
Rediscover the decadence of high tea at Darling & Co with their modern take on a traditional high tea. With a selection of bites paired with your choice of tea, Veuve Cliquot champagne, or a cheeky afternoon cocktail, Darling & Co have a high tea menu for every kind of high socie-tea lover. Enjoy the standard high tea for $40 per person, or add a glass of Veuve Cliquot champagne or cocktail for $63 per person. If you’re feeling really adventurous, you and your gals can go all out with the Tanqueray G&T High Tea Set for $90 per person.
The Rendezvous Tea Room | Woolloongabba
At The Rendezvous Tea Room, the team know that there is nothing more wonderful than treating yourself and your friends to a high tea for a long overdue catch-up. The popular High Tea Sunday at The Rendezvous Tea Room will see you enjoy a 3-tiered stand brimming with an assortment of finger sandwiches, savoury dainties, fresh scones served with home-made jam, whipped cream and tantalising petite fours. And of-course the high tea would not be complete without the inclusion of an indulgent selection of teas or a coffee. Every Sunday at 10am, guests will be seated for their 2-hour high tea experience for $55 per person. These high teas are one of Brisbane’s favourites and you’ll need to book at least a week in advance for a table.
Passiontree Velvet | Carindale & Indooroopilly
Revitalising the decadent pastime in honour of the Anne Maria Russel, the inventor of High Tea, Passiontree Velvet has created their very own Decadent High Tea experience. Crafting a range of high tea recipes and menus to suit any occasion, Passiontree Velvet is the affordable, indulgent high tea option that is the perfect way to break in-between a day of shopping. Starting at $13.50, Passiontree Velvet has a Devonshire Cream Tea menu option, which is the ideal treat for a peckish afternoon complete with classic British tea and warm scones, jam and cream. The Duchess Full High Tea is the café’s epitome of extravagance, which includes ribbon finger sandwiches, warm baked scones with jam and cream, and an array of High Tea fancies for $34.95 per person.
Celebrating a tradition that is rich in history, Motion Bar & Grill at Brisbane’s Marriott Hotel offers two high tea options for those looking for a little self-indulgence. Both high tea options include sweets like scones, tarts, brownies and choux pastries as well as savoury delights, including a selection of fine finger sandwiches. For $49 per person, guests will receive a glass of Australian sparkling wine with their high tea and for $59 it will come complete with a glass of French champagne. High Tea at Motion Bar & Grill is offered daily between 11:00am and 4:30pm with gluten-free and dietary requirements available.
Room With Roses | CBD
Brisbane’s iconic Room With Roses is located upstairs in the heritage listed Brisbane Arcade. Offering one of the most individual experiences in town and specialising in high tea, you can guarantee you’ll be treated to a high tea experience fit for a queen. At Room With Roses, guests have the option to choose between the Deluxe High Tea for $42 per person, Chocolate High Tea $45 per person and the Ultimate Chocolate High Tea for $49 per person. Each high tea menu has the option of adding a glass of Tatachilla Premium Brut High Tea Bubbles for $8 per glass with gluten-free and vegetarian high tea options also available for an additional $4. Room with Roses also offers High Tea Picnic Hampers including a bottle of bubbles, which comes complete with disposable napkins, plates, cutlery and champagne flutes.
Spicer’s Balfour | New Farm
In the quaint surrounds of the award-winning Spicer’s Balfour boutique hotel, you can enjoy a High Tea over brunch, lunch or afternoon tea from just $59 per person with the option to upgrade with a glass of Perrier Jouet Champagne for $79. Indulge in the wondrous creations of the Balfour Kitchen’s pastry chef while sipping from their range of speciality teas and relaxing on the verandah. The Balfour Kitchen’s modern take on the traditional high tea includes savoury menu items like duck liver parfait on lavosh, pumpkin and labneh tart, Balfour honey pattie on charcoal brioche, wagyu beef brisket croquette and smoked salmon with pea puree. The sweet treats include items like Gateau Basque, freshly baked Lindt choc chip cookies, macarons, lemon tarts and seasonal fruit dipped in chocolate.
Keri Craig | CBD
Located in beneath the iconic Brisbane Arcade, Keri Craig is the city’s hidden treasure that boasts one of Brisbane’s favourite High Tea venues. The Keri Craig Emporium High Tea offers different options that include a Traditional High Tea for $45, the Seafood High Tea for $49.95 and the Children’s High Tea for $24.95. The high tea experience at Keri Craig is renowned for offering an hour of indulgence, which has seen the emporium become an institution in Brisbane.
Summit Restaurant & Bar | Mt Coot-Tha
Take in the expansive views of Brisbane city and beyond at the top of Mt Coot-tha while indulging in a decadent High Tea at Summit Restaurant & Bar. On Sundays from 3:00pm till 5:00pm, guests will be treated to ribbon sandwiches, scrumptious hot savouries, fluffy warm scones with whipped cream and country preserves, decadent sweets and Giancarlo coffee or Temple Two teas for $35 per person. If you have the tastes for bubbles, for $45 per person you will have a glass of Moet & Chandon included in your High Tea experience.
