The Montrachet, Brisbane’s favourite French food restaurant is moving from Paddington to King Street.
Receiving a two-hat rating by the Good Food Guide in 2016, Montrachet is expected to flourish in its new location at the centre of Brisbane’s food and lifestyle precinct.
On the corner of King Street and Machinery Street the reincarnation of this French favourite in Brisbane’s Showgrounds, is just 1.6 kilometres from the CBD. This new location is at the heart of the cities entertainment and events precinct.
The launch date will be sometime in November, however, it’s worth the anticipation for double the seating capacity, sublime new dishes as well as old favourites and a walk-in cellar to enjoy.
In fact, even Brisbane Showgrounds Project Director Andrew Hay can’t wait, saying this iconic Montrachet bistro will add another layer to Brissy’s most captivating retail street.
“We have carefully curated King Street’s food and beverage offering so that people can experience the best local and Australian retail & lifestyle operators,” Mr. Hay said.
Foodies can expect that Montrachet’s menu will still be centred around Brasserie-style cooking, offering guests taste-tests of their innovative and adored flavours in their new King Street store. This includes their award-winning Grand Marnier brulee with passionfruit curd, a must try for anyone who loves sweets, which is everyone of course.
The high culinary standards already set by Montrachet, is brewing excitement in the Style office for the future.
Oh, and foodies, listen up. If you are a bread lover, you may want to make Montrachet’s new daytime patisserie your new home. So, stay tuned for mouth-watering pastries, baguettes and cabinets full of treats to ignite your taste buds with an explosion of flavours.
So, my Stylish amis, if you are chewing your fingernails at the thought of the new and improved Montrachet, then stay tuned to their website for the exact opening date.
With all the same favourite french flavours and many new added extras, Montrachet will be the ultimate restaurant on King Street to enjoy for any occasion.
