Say hello to great fast fashion and goodbye to your savings!
It’s official: north siders no longer have to schlepp to the city, Indooroopilly, Garden City or the Gold Coast for fantastic basics and on-trend pieces at budget prices! Why? Because H&M is opening a store at Westfield Chermside.
That’s right. The north side is finally getting its very own H&M thanks to Westfield Chermside’s $355 million-dollar makeover and upgrade.
As a north-side gal, 2017 is shaping up to do major damage to my savings account.
This is just one item on an ever-growing list of humungous retailers going north. Last year, Westfield North Lakes had a multi-million-dollar facelift and emerged complete with a brand-new Ikea.
By the time the upgrade is finished, Westfield Chermside will be wowing shoppers with more than 95 new specialty stores as well as new dining and entertainment precincts.
Joining other international favourites Zara and Sephora, H&M is set to bring its trademark quirk and quality with a sustainable spin to the suburbs. The Chermside store will be the sixth to open in the Sunshine state.
Coveted collections will be on offer once the store opens in April. And if the madness of previous years’ designer collaborations is anything to go by, we can expect shoppers to be camping out for the chance to score a piece of the Swedish chain’s sartorial success.
Let the countdown begin!
