The duo can do no wrong.
For lovers of Australian fashion, Aje needs no introduction.
The brainchild of friends Edwina Forest (formerly Robinson) and Adrian Norris, Aje celebrated their 10th anniversary yesterday, unveiling their Resort 18/19 collection to Sydney’s style set. Featuring the familiar hand beading, hand embroidery and hand-loomed fabrications we’ve come to love from each collection, the duo chose to mark this incredible milestone through collaborating with their favourite Australian artist, the late Brett Whiteley.
Edwina and Adrian sifted through the artists’ archive for inspiration to create a selection of printed day dresses, silk shirts and evening gowns, along with leather dresses and pants.
In true Aje style, the runway show was held in the private garden of Brett’s wife and muse, Wendy Whiteley, in Lavender Bay.
