All you can eat
Westfield Chermside, Gympie Rd & Hamilton Rd, Chermside
Is it just me or do shopping centres change themselves as often as a lady updating her weekly wardrobe for the season? Get ready for the biggest Westfield in Australia to launch the second phase of its $355 million redevelopment this month.
On June 22, Westfield Chermside celebrates its new dining precinct. And what better way is there to announce it (I’m sure all involved are feeling this with glee) than to put on a party with Brisbane DJ and producer Young Franco mixing beats.
Concert on the Green starts at 6pm, and everyone is invited to come along and experience all the foodie spots in the new dining precinct.
The next few months will see more exciting foodie developments at Chermside, including an American BBQ outlet called Bootlegger, a German bar and restaurant named The Bavarian, a yum cha diner called the Landmark Restaurant and a pizza joint named Cibo Cibo.
I’m already planning our meal (no cooking for a few nights for me!). Part of the large redevelopment of the centre includes food establishments such as:
Betty’s Burgers – burgers and frozen custards
Fiery Deli – Latin-inspired cuisine
Tapworks Bar & Grill – craft beers and more
BiN 931 – share plates and cocktails
Motto Motto – Japanese
4Fingers Crispy Chicken – Fried chicken hand-brushed with a secret sauce (think New York, New York)
Hermosa – Spanish tapas and cocktails
Zeus Street Greek – Greek street food
Kamikaze Teppanyaki – à la carte Japanese dishes
Coco Bliss – mix of pure, nutritious and raw wholefoods
Kinn + Derm – modern Thai and contemporary Asian delicacies
The Hub – boutique businesses and unique start-ups
Pho Vietnamese – authentic Vietnamese food
Hero Sushi – Japanese sushi
San Churro – dessert
Gelatissimo – dessert
Savour Patisserie – cakes
Le Bon Choix, – cakes
Cafe 63 – café meals
NYC Bagel Deli – delicatessen
Caffe Cherry Beans – café fare
