Filmmakers and film lovers better make tracks to Noosa this weekend for the Noosa International Film Festival. Featuring 100 films from all corners of the globe being screened over four days, audiences will be glued to their seats with the wide variety of genres covered by both short and feature-length films. Industry workshops will appeal to budding filmmakers plus there’s two music meets film events with live bands providing the score to enhance the cinematic experience.

HALLOWEEN HORROR MOVIE MARATHON | FRI 27

Scare yourself silly with a Halloween Horror Movie Marathon at Metro Arts. Featuring Bram Stoker’s Dracula at 5 pm, followed by Night of the Living Dead at 7 pm, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre at 8.45pm and finishing the evening with Bride of Re-Animator at 10.15pm. It’s a classic fright night that’s 18+ only, so stock up on the snacks and be prepared to leave the lights on once you get home.

Foodies rejoice as The Good Food & Wine Show will be kicking off in Brisbane this weekend. With plenty of masterclasses and new features such as the Gourmet Village, which will be packed with premium artisan products and producers, it’s shaping up to be a mouth-watering affair.
