Live large and be in charge!
Cultural Forecourt, South Bank Parklands
When it comes to a truly accessible festival or event in Brisbane, how many can you name? There’s a lot to take into consideration, from venue layouts, sight and hearing assistance and dining options to toilet and basic personal care facilities.
And, sadly, the majority of events and festivals across Brisbane and the rest of Australia fall short.
But this year, Brisbane will celebrate people of all abilities when it hosts Australia’s first truly accessible festival.
Held over the 2017 Easter weekend (April 15-16) at the Cultural Forecourt of South Bank Parklands, Live Large Festival is offering a huge line-up of entertainment, food trucks, markets and a range of activities for families and kids.
Brisbane favourites including Ze Pickle, Carolina Kitchen and The Bun Mobile will be serving up food and drinks to refuel hungry festival-goers.
Between entertainment acts and delicious eats, attendees can wander through a selection of market stalls offering a range of bespoke wares from candles and jewellery to leather goods and homemade sweet treats.
