Think dark moody colours, glitter and sleek nail art.
The change of season is such an exciting time! There are new fashion must-haves, fresh beauty looks and new nail trends everywhere you turn. If you’re anything like me, the onset of warm weather means you won’t feel complete until your fingers and toes are painted. Here are some of the nail trends you must try this season:
Black is usually a go-to winter shade but this season I’ll be mixing it up and rotating between these three colours. First up: maroon. While maroon nails have been around for a while, this season the colour is deeper than usual – so dark it’s almost purple. I’m having Ribena flashbacks just looking at it!
The next “it” colour of the season is navy. It gives you the darkness and edge of black while remaining a little more elegant. Don’t worry – your bad gal vibes won’t be killed with this colour choice.
The third colour you have to try is khaki. Good news for all you khaki/olive lovers (me, me, me!): the colour is no longer just reserved for your wardrobe. Now you can add it to your beauty regimen by experimenting with different shades, ranging from military green to a dark mossy colour.
Keeping your nails polished and glossy with dark hues is a sure way to make them pop against your crisp whites and floaty summer dresses!
What’s the easiest way to add a little glitz to your outfit this spring? Sparkly nails, of course! There are so many cool glitter polishes around, but if you are really, really creative why not try out the star look?
Nail art is tacky, right? WRONG! This season’s converted styles may just change your mind. Super simple and very sleek, adding some designs to your manicure has never been so simple.
The key to nailing this look (see what I did there?) is to stick to a specific pattern. Have fun experimenting with metallic vertical stripes and uber-cool tonal horizontal stripes.
The French manicure has also been reinvented for the season with the half moon style becoming really popular. If you don’t trust yourself to do a profesh job, Jamberry has some really neat nail wraps!
